Dr Sarah Kamel

Dr Sarah Kamel graduated from The University of Melbourne and completed her internship and physician training at St Vincent's Public Hospital Melbourne.

Sarah is dual trained in haematology.  This means that she has qualifications in not only clinical haematology, but laboratory haematology as well.  This allows Sarah to seamlessly integrate lab testing into clinical care.

Sarah undertook her clinical training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Cetnre and St Vincent's Public Hospital Melbourne.  She has an interest in malignant haematology as well as clotting disorders.

Sarah uses the most up to date evidence based medicine in the care of her patients.  She is a member of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, the American Society of Haematology, the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group in addition to the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostatis.

Sarah specialises in the treatment of:

  • Thrombosis (blood clots)
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Lymphoma
  • Chronic Lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL)
  • Myeloma
  • Anaemia (low red cell count), including iron deficiency
  • Myelodysplasia
